So I decided to take a day of from work. Ive been seeing all this people reporting, and its time for me to post up. Took my son out to catch some fish, but nothing was bitting on dead shrimp. This trip was mostly to check out an area see if the marsh is starting to get bait in. With the winds blowing and the tide really low, I did not manage to catch any keepers. The good news was that I saw shrimp jumping again (YEAHHHHHHH), that means that the marsh is heating up. Plus I managed to loose a good flounder, and CPR two of them. Both under size, yet it was good to see my son happy, and complaining about going home. He still wanted to grind it out some more.
Location of action: Drop offs of boat canals near and marsh.
Lure: Action was on white gulp swimming mullet (gets them all the time, flounder go crazy)
Time 9am- 1pm and the bay was white capping, so it was a little choppy moving around.
Its looking good for the time for sight casting......
