Went out last night to the westside of Galv. the water was sos so clear I could see for days. However I did not see any fish,I covered a lot of area with no luck. By mistake I move into a nice man from Laport walking area (sorry) and he advised he was checking to.

Not that much different than a Karankawa indian hunting the shallows at night with a torch and a spear.

I went and tried last night.

It was calm when I left the E. end, but by the time I got to the W. end, it was blowing strong NE. Dang, should have listened to the NOAA guys, who knew they would be right?

I walked the only protected and rapidly deteriorating shoreline for about 10 minutes. Tons of mullet and bait. For the distance I covered, there were lots of beds. Some from a very nice ~23"er. These were fresh beds, from fish just briefly settling down, sharp edges, not much depth. Very recent or they would have been covered up. Often a few from the same fish right next to each other. Very good sign.

I got one ~15"er before I left. I need to plan my trips better. I should have gotten out earlier but delayed too much.
