late report 3-31 last thursday

Went out in the kayak last thursday morning just to soak some crabs for an hour or so. After getting out there I saw some bait being worked across from seven seas grocery by some birds and Jacks. Beached the kayak and started casting a 1/2 oz silver spoon for a while. Hooked into one but played it a bit too aggresive and straightened out the hook. Tried again and after another 5 minutes of watching bait be destroyed I got another one on. Fought him for about 15 minutes and finally landed him with the help of another West Ender (brad) that was fishing the surf down from me. Gorgeous fish and I'll try to load up some pics later.
