Are they catching reds and trout up the bayou?

I have a kayak and the winds are too strong for the open bay. Since the bayou is salty have they been catching any fish past Lutes?

Im not sure about down there but up in the dickinson bayou my friend caught two reds yesterday in the evening on rattletraps

It has been a few months since I fished up by Lutes, so I can't answer your question if there are fish there or not. Try it and see.

If you have no luck, you can try fishing from the FM 2004 boat ramp. You can find protected water in ox-bows on either side of the channel.
