  • CFLs for flounder lights

    Do they work well? I can run 4 of the 23 watt ones on a single battery with an inverter for 3 hours and 20 minutes. That's about the same as the 2 55 watt halogens I've been using. Thinking the CFLs will light up more area and brighter.

    FYI - I am looking at 500W halogens and 400W Metal Halides for my flounder lights... 55w isn't much of anything it lacks the lumens to penetrate through the water

      No replacement for that power. It's pretty funny when I see people trying to hock some weak azz LED rig for gigging, 12V narrow beam baby!
