Welcome first of all, however since the wind has been brutal, Chocolate Bay (anywhere) for that matter really isn't very clear, so it depends on if your using bait or artificial lures? I can assure you, this is my stomping ground, and If I thought for a minute I could go and find fishable water where I knew there were fish I would go, so maybe that kinda speeks for itself. Good luck.

I'm throwing top waters and soft plastics and also corkeys.

          Welcome to the site!
A 21 ft Kenner should be able to get around chocolate ok. Check out lutes marina it’s a few miles north of the 2004 bridge, see if they have the new maps of chocolate, its very informative. Lutes is also hosting a tournament on May 7th.
          GOOD LUCK.

I fished a lutes tourney last year and won a flounder rod, it was a nice little tournament. I'll be there again the 7th!

use some live mullet up in the bayou for reds along the grasslines.
the fishing was good,it was the catching that was bad.
