I had the pleasure to fish 3 guys from Houston area today. We were lucky to have the wind lay and get outside for a while, the trout bite was not hot and heavy, but fairly light, but the guys worked on it and caught some nice trout. As the wind started picking up we opted to chase redfish on the flat instead of getting the rest of our trout.
First stop we picked up a nice keeper red and a undersized red fish, but could not get a bite going. We moved and started drifting the flats with topwaters, we saw fish and missed a few, but that fishing.
