I'm back in. Thanks for all the calls. Mark Sloan came and towed me in. I have had my Yamaha 2 stroke for eight years and had nearly ZERO issues with her. Recently I have had one problem after another with the Yami and the trolling motor and the electronics and so on. Unreal.

So today I am cruising along full out and all of a sudden I hear the RPM's jump and the motor is very high pitched and I lose all speed. Motor will no longer start at all. Huh. Just plain bizarre. I thought I there my prop at first...that kind feeling...o well...here we go again! BUT you will nt hear me complaining about this as that motor has been outstanding over the years.

Glad you made it in ok. Is the engine turning over at all? I have a Yami that is 13 years old with very little problems.

Glad it worked out for you, and sorry about the Yammy. I too have a 2 stroke yammy, from 1992. It's been a great motor but I admit that I worry about it crapping out.

                        Good luck with your motor!

the fishing was good,it was the catching that was bad.
