Hit the seawall and 77th at dawn this Saturday. It was a bit rougher than I'd hoped but it was great to walk into the water. Surf was a little dodgy and it was sandy, but it was getting nice and green. Strated out throwing a super spook and not getting much action, switched over to a skitterwalk and started getting strikes right away. Must have caught 10 or 11 dink trout. About 8 a nice guy from Alvin walked in near me and started throwing live skrimps on a rattling cork. From the sound of that rattle he must have caught one on every cast! He finally walked out around 10 with 6 keepers and left me with his live bait. I kept at it until 11 and came home with an empty stringer but a smile on my face. Nice morning.
