  • Fishing the Conditions

I spent the weekend in Corpus Christi and fished Casting for a Cause tournament on Friday. I had a blast. The company, food, raffle, and tourney were all good. The catching was phenomenal one day and poor the rest. For once it was good when it counted on tournament day. I plan to attend the event again next year.

Another excellent report from you...mucho appreciated! Y'all didn't happen to try Shamrock did you? Love it in the back when the tide gets up! Also, can you post a pic of how you have your yak rigged...I need to get busy and get mine rigged a "lil mo bettah".
                  Thanks

Thanks. No, I didn't fish Shamrock. I fished several different places around redfish bay. I don't have any pictures of yak handy but there's not much to it anymore. All I have is a crate in the back and one rod holder for my fly rod. That's it. I used to have it all rigged out but I've found that less is better in kayaking, especially for fly fishing.

Well then, I'm there...one rod holder, a small cooler, a stringer, wading stuff...and a stakeout stick push pole combo!
