  • West Bay launch points

I am looking for some good launch points into west bay. Any of the Coves would be fine. Trying to find new spots. Anyone know of any good ones?

Wow I picked up a couple extra ones now.

Galveston Island State Park is good also, there are several different launch points.

Where do people fish when they go to the State Park? I'm new to the area and haven't been there.

Put in at Oak Bayou and then paddle out to the reefs of Dana Cove or Carancahua Cove. Or you can put in at the end of the road in Lake Como.

Wow! What a great set of input by everyone. Good job!

I would also like to add the following:

                              * Fatboys Bait Camp and Boat Launch - Santa Fe Railroad Overpass prior to the Causeway Bridge and Tiki Island when traveling to Galveston from the Mainland
                              * Louis' Bait Camp in the Bayou Vista area on Highway 6. Although it is a bit of a paddle...I routinely take nice redfish in the backwaters by the entry to Jones Lake
