Ran out into the blue last thursday to help my buddy out who needed a hand with his crew that mostly consisted of noobs from the north side of town. Made the first 26 miles in about 90 minutes becasue it was so stinkin choppy we couldnt stay on a good plane for too long without eventually goin airborne. So we just had to push our way out there. Made a stop at a rig and messed with some small ling for a bit then went over by a buoy and made some drifts. Picked up 3 nice kings on flat lines with skirted ice fish while we waited for the sea to calm. When they did let up a little we headed towards the 150ft mark but we got distracted by a nice 3-4 mile long weedline that had lots of little dodos on it. Over the next hour or so we iced 20-30 of the little flyers with one goin maybe 10lbs. Finally gave up on them and continued on to drop some BIG baits for grouper. No grouper home but we did manage a huge snapper CPR and several sharks in the 60lbs range add in some cudas. LOOONG day had the worst dock shock i've ever experienced when we finally hit GYB at about 10pm.
