Flyfishing as hot as the weather by skiffstiff

Got out yesterday and was rewarded with some hot flyfishing.started out early(for me) 7:30 am to beat the heat.poled into some tailers but they had their head & half their body buried in the grass.made lots of casts ,no hookups but great entertainment just watching.i had fish all around the boat all morning but did not catch the first one untill 10 am.got a little wind to mask my approach and then started to catch some fish.hooked 5 (all slot) and landed 2 ,keep one for the grill.great day to be on the water with the fly.sorry no pics too busy with the flyrod & pushpole.

Good to hear that you get em Joe! I was out two days this week with minimal success. I saw some monsters reds yesterday, but the shots were tough. We need a break from this heat, and maybe a rain drop or two so things can get going good.

Let you know when I can get out on a Monday again soon, still need to show you the piles of tailing fish I keep talking about.
