  • More Reds 10/24

Went back to Bolivar on Monday and put in at Stingaree around 8:00am. Tide was moving out by the time I got to my spot. I fished the marsh islands and drains along the Intercoastal.

Fist slot red came on a Hackberry Hustler worked around the end of one of the isalnds. Saw lots of activity on the surface early so I was determined to catch something on topwater. I tossed a bone skitterwalk into the middle of one of the bigger drains where I saw the most commotion. The first blowup caught me by surprise and I did not hook em. Second cast was more successful.. 24 in. red. I caught 1 more slot on the back side of one of the little islands using a Chicken on a Chain colored Saltwater Assassin.

When I got back to the cut I saw that the bay was like glass with no wind. I took off exploring and found Big Pasture Bayou but had no luck in pursuit of trout and flounder
