Fished 3 guys today, 2 of them have fished with me before and a friend of theirs.
Fishing has been tough most of the time for the last week, but the first stop we made, I was hoping to find some drum, but we got into the rat reds. Nearly every bite we would catch one up to 19 3/4''. We made several moves trying to get out of the small ones, but couldn't find any keepers. After many moves, seems like we would get 1 rat per stop on most stops. We worked clear water, reefs, drops, cloudy water, still no keeper reds. Finally we hit them and managed 9 keeper and 2 undersized. The first fish of the day was a keeper trout and the only legal one we would catch.
Thanks guys for a great day on the water and look forward to many more trips with you.
