Got out to a new location about 30 mins before dark. Started gigging once the lights went out. Started off kinda slow but managed to get em all before 10:00PM. No monsters. Had a few go 20".

We did have 3 first that night:

First time we ran over the gig to keep from loosing a fish
First fish we gigged off an oyster reef out of this boat
First time we gigged a siamese flounder

I was hoping that we would get some wierd and unusual fish this season, time almost ran out.
I did not realize that we had a double brown sided flounder until this morning. This fish
has four thick fillets rather than two like a typical flounder.

I have only seen pics of these.

Not that much different than a Karankawa indian hunting the shallows at night with a torch and a spear.

Who knows; albino? It swam through Louisiana waters to get to some good water? It came from South Texas smuggling cocaine??? Pick one and I will buy it...

If never heard of a flounder with 2 thick sides and bet the TP&W biologist would had loved to check it out. Piebald flounders are a genetic mutation concerning the skins pigment color. With 2 fat sides I'm thinking this was not the case even thought it was mostly brown on the bottom.
If I ever come across a Piebald I will have it mounted.
