  • East Beach Area 7/18

Ran to the surf with my buddy before work. We got on the water about a quarter to 6 and were greeted by a flat, clear surf. We started chunking topwaters and didn't get any action until shortly after sunrise. After that, it was on and off action until we left around nine. The topwater bite was awesome! The only problem was that all the specks were dinks. I ended up with 7 or 8 dinks and one 18 inch trout on Bone SSJR and my buddy had about the same number of dinks and 2 trout around 16 inches, one on a bone SheDog and the other on bone diamond BA. Absolutely beautiful morning on the water. Porpoises were working the third gut and beyond and bait was everywhere. The fish were still there when we had to leave for work.

    GOD BLESS AND GIG'EM!

I hope I catch a 10 lb trout before I catch a flesh eating bacteria.

Talked with a friend of a neighbor this weekend who went out fishing in the surf, 10 casts 10 trout... "I think I'm tired I'm going back to bed..." LOL
