Well up until Saturday the fishing was pretty good. We were catching some good Trout on a mix of topwaters, plastics, and Saltwater Assassins. Last Wednesday Capt. Steve Soule, Scott, and myself found a lot of early morning action on topwaters and Corky's in 2 to 4' of water over a mud/shell mix. Friday Jeff and myself caught an early morning bite but it just didnt last very long and the bite died after about 10am. The Galveston Specktacular last Saturday was brutal as Dpop and myself pretty much laid flat on our backs hiding from lightning in the pouring down rain as a front swept through Galveston. The thunder and lightning pretty much shut our fish down and pushed them to deeper waters. We struggled to get any bites in the 3 or 4 hours we got to fish.....
