  • 2/25: Oyster Creek with the Kids

My wife and two oldest boys are out of town. I'm home this weekend with my daughter (6) and youngest son (3). After t-ball practice this morning, I packed up the crew and we headed for the coast. I picked up a pint of shrimp at Bridge Bait and went to Oyster Creek Park off FM 523. About the time we got going 1:30p or 2p, it started to drizzle. The kids ran back and forth between the pier and the playground. Fortune shined on us and each kid got a fish, my daughter got two. A couple of photos from our adventure:

For any of you guys with kids or grandkids, that's a great park. The playground is nice, there are restrooms and it's not far off the beaten path. We fished with live shrimp. There was a family down the pier from us catching croaker on fresh dead. We had a good day.
