  • Strawberry buyers beware.

The question I always get. I bought a strawberry bush this spring and I only got a few strawberries before my plant died.

That is because strawberries are a fall crop that produce through winter into early spring.

Don't waste your money trying to produce strawberries this late in the year and get disappointed.

Thanks for the tip. You just saved me a headache. My aunt was wanting to plant a few strawberries in a garden I am building her. We will have to come up with something else.

Black berries on a trellis will produce a lot of fruit or blue berries but they turn into a bush.

Blue berries need acidic soil though and you also need multiple varieties so they can cross pollinate. One is a male and one is a female.
