Hello all! I hail from the area actually. Grew up in Dayton, and belong to the Sjolanders of Sjolander Rd. in Baytown and the Gibsons from Lynchburg (Just South of Highlands off I-10. My mother retired from Exxon and my sis works for the Army Corp's Wallisville project.
Fished and hunted all over the Trinity basin growing up but never really did much saltwater fishing. I have quite a bit of knowledge about catfish, bass, freshwater fishing, etc. in East Texas but bay fishing, and fishing in the highland lakes over here in Austin, still escapes me so I'll be begging info from you guys until I get it all figured out!
Just moved back to Texas after 18 years on the West coast, mostly Washington State/Seattle. Served in the Navy as a Rescue Swimmer during the first Gulf War and participated in Ashpac '91 (Evacuation of Clark and Subic/Olongapo in the Philippines during Pinatubo eruption in '91).
Looking forward to meeting some of you on the bay/jetties/piers soon!
