Fly Tying

Got a buddy coming over this weekend that is new to fly fishing, I am gooing to teach him some basics in fly tying. I would like to make some for him that are good for this area. Going to start him of with Clousers since they are easy to start with. Any suggestions & color patterns he may start out with?

I wid=sh I had the time to tie some flys. Maybe I'll confiscate my brothers stuff and start tying

Dawg,
Go with Chartruse over white with a little flash(pearl,silver,gold, black,olive,red,etc.)Make them very sparce with bead chaine or lead bumbell eyes for your Clousers.Other colors that work are Red/White,Pink/white,solid white,solid black,olive/white.
Another pattern that has worked good for me has been the Redfish Crack.
