  • Cold Pass and Titlum-Tatlum 05/23

Took the jon-boat out yesterday with a buddy. Put in at old Koa at 6:30.

Decided to setup just outside the mouth of the bayou to take advantage of the time remaining with the strong incoming tide. I planned on fishing the guts but when I saw the attention being payed to the big schools of mullet in the shallows we started there.

My buddy hit a 20in. spec on the first cast w/gulp natural. I got a 14in. flounder on a Corky Devil after 4 or 5 casts. Then for the next 2 hours we sporadically pulled up keeper trout. Kept 6 between 17 and 20 and the flounder). The "one that got a way" looked around 23 and took my corky devil with him.

When the bite slowed went up the bayou but had no luck.
