Took a quick drive to Surfside to check conditions.

In a word: Bad
Wind from SSW about 15.
Beach front is dirty and very rough. Be tough even for long rods.
Jetty pocket on Surfside jetty water fair. You could do the rocks.
Quintana pocket is toast. Don't even bother.
Channel is green.
Didn't go down Bluewater to check the bays.

Bait stands along Hwy332 are open and flying all manner of flags.

Gonna be a rough time until that wind changes.

Good thing i'm going up to the lake this weekend and stayin away from the coast.
