Fishing Galveston Bay last week has been on fire! All of my parties had easy limits and most were limited out by 8am. Live Shrimp was our bait of choice on all my trips this past week.
Monday Rutledge and his 7 year old son Mason caught well over 50 Trout on Shrimp. Mason caught 30 Trout on his own using a Zebco reel. It was awesome watching Mason put a whipping on these Trout.
Friday I had Sean and his party and they had an awesome bite catching well over a 100 Trout. From 630am to 1130am it was non stop action.
Saturday Courtney, Ashley, and Dustin went to work and had there limits by 830 in the morning but the bite was no where near what it was Friday. After they hit there 3 man limit the bite stoped and it was tough the next 2 hours as the tide went slack. No tide no bite.
Sunday I went out for 3 hours just me and the wife. The wind was up a little out of the east and it made the fishing a little tough but I still got my limit fairle easy. Yesterday we caught a lot of schoolie Trout but eventually found some better ones for my freezer.
