still having trouble

My tilt and trim works fine when I use the switch on the outboard. My problem occurs when I try to use the throttle switch(it dont work). I do not think its the throttle button though. Reason I say this is because when I followed the wire from the throttle under the console to where it comes to a junction box I unplugged the connection to clean the female prongs part of the junction box that continued under the console Im guessing to the battery and then motor. I would use SS brush to do this and it used to make the motor tilt everytime I scrubbed the female prongs. Now when i do this nada! Like there is no connection being made anymore. Any suggestions?

I had that same situation some time back and Sawdust fixed it. Can't remember what he did but it was minor. I'll try to find out.
