Texas Fly Fishers Mini Expo 8-28

I'm a little later posting this than what I had intended, but this is a very cool event for anyone looking for an introduction to fly fishing. They have several short fishing presentations, fly tying, and casting. Take a look at the website for all the details. http://www.texasflyfishers.org/ I will be there for the event, as I have for the last several years doing a casting presentation and talking about the techniques we all need to know for saltwater fishing.

All of you posting on this fly page are formally invited and now officially expected to be there. Last year we had a surprise visit from JP Chavez, along with a handful of fly fishing notables from the Houston area. I feel sure that the one and only Stiffskiff will be in attendance....Come out and ay hello if you can.

The event is at the Bayland Community Center, located at 6400 Bissonnet Street, Houston, Texas 77074.

I have asked them to move it to a weekend but it actually works better for me this time of the year. I don't have a weekend day until October.

That makes sense, but I hate the idea of driving into Houston during rush hour. Sounds like a great event too.

Great organization and event. I was a member a few years ago when I lived in Houston and really enjoyed it, just a long drive in from JB during the week. I wish there was something similar closer to Galveston!

I have never been to one of the TFF meetings and am planning to attend. Looks like a great event.
