Went out to try again this evening against my better judgement. Water was a lot rougher and muddier than I expected at the seawall, so we headed west. Ended up fishing right before the SLP bridge. Water was kinda rough, sandy, and had no bait whatsover. After 30 minutes of no action and no bait we said hell with it and moved to the bay side. That turned out to be a mistake. The freakishly low tides had drained the spot we picked. It was muddy, knee deep water for a good half mile. Somewhat disgusted, we packed it in early and headed home. Driving back, the water actually looked calmer as the wind laid some.
If you are going to try the surf tomorrow, I would head west as opposed to the seawall, maybe even freeport. But even then the surf is going to be very questionable. Good luck to all this weekend and have a safe holiday
