  • Surf Report 7/3

I was on the other side...Boliver area...when i caught this stringer of fish on the day before our nation's independance.

First spot didn't produce much, but the second spot was on fire. All of these fish were caught on a fast retrieved 1/2 ounce silver spoon. Biggest fish was 21".

Had a few ankle biters(2-3 footers) chase my fish all the way in and had to kick one of them to get away from my trout. Stupid blacktips.

    Here's a pic...i love that new Waterloo.

"If our father had his say, nobody who did not know how to catch a fish would be allowed to disgrace a fish by catching him." Norman Maclean, from A River Runs Through It

Nice stringer. Next time I fish the surf I'm following you.

Awesome limit on a classic lure! I should have tried to fish the Bolivar Pocket that day. It's somewhat protected from the SW wind that kicked up and probably held some decent water for a little while.
