  • State water Snapper 11/21/12

Avoided work for perfect conditions on Wednesday. Rather than brave SLP on the lowish tide, I ran the ditch to surfside. Got bait, ice and was headed to the middle bank area before 8am, solo. A few drops at the liberty ship yielded nothing. Headed to the reef and drifted until I found some fish . Anchored and it was prety much non stop, snapper, gulf trout with a few oversized reds mixed in. Got my limit of 4, nothing over 17 inches, and headed in.

Absolutely beautiful day, with 6 inch seas!

Running back down the ICW, came across a 40 foot catamaran run into the mud. Here's a lesson for everyone, when installing a depthfinder, put it in the starboard sponson! Port sponson still showed enough depth! ANyhow, took a couple of tries, but had them free without too much effort. Super nice folks, I just told them they'd do the same for me and with that, headed to the house... See picture of me departing Terramar that morning. And another of the catamaram once freed.
