  • Redfish Series Report

Fished the Redfish Series a couple of weeks ago. Fishing was challanging due to the low tides and west winds. We found good deal of Redfish off dropoffs in and around Chocolate Bay. Our good bite came when the tide was at the peak out going, which was late morning. All our fish were identical, between 24.6" to 25.6" (5.4 lbs.). Finished 19th, but had a great time. Fished topwaters early, then switch to gulps. By the way, we used my new transportable O2 system to bring the fish to Webster. They were lively and fresh.

Not to shabby...I believe anytime you get to weigh something in your doing okay. What is it about red's and tourneys and not eating....well at least for me!

I really like that Laguna Tourney shirt too.....Oh Danny...Jeff.....

Mike, the O2 system is basically a 70 quart marine cooler rigged with the oxygen.I have the small tank mounted to the side with stainless clamps and thru fit the tube to the air stone.Sealed everything with 5200.

I have one as well and got the idea from Mell....

I found at Academy or FTU a device that will screw into the drain plug and allows an air tube to be run into it sealed fitting no holes drilled accept for the O2 Tank holder. I can remove it real quick and still fill it with beer & ice if needed instead of livewell.

I will try and post photos when I get a chance to get over to the storage unit.

                      Contact Texxan1 for O2 systems...
