Opening Day in Wharton County
Drove down for a bird hunt friday evening in East Bernard. It was hit or miss on our place. A couple guys limited out but some only got 1 or 2 birds. I ended up with 9. We usually have full limits all around on opening day. Don't know what the deal was this year. I'm guessing this little norther we had pushed em out. I didnt kill any whitewings that evening. The next morning I got 4 birds (the morning hunt always sucks for some reason), 2 of which were whitewings. So overall hunting is only fair at best. Hope someone else really got into em.
