  • New XDm-40

I had my mind set on a 45 but after handling this 40 and prior ownership
of a older XD-9 sub compact it was a easy decision. This weapon is a good value and is predicted the price of the XDm line is about to go up because of it's popularity. It came with a holster, mag holster, mag load assist thingy, two magazines and a case. The 16 round magazine is the highest capacity 40 on the market. Can't gig tonight due to the front so I just might take it out the the range and get aquainted.

All dressed up with nowhere to go.

I'm at T-Bone Toms right now for lunch and then off to the range. As far as feel I haven't handled a full size frame hand gun in a while but I will say my XD-9 is close to perfect.

              reeltime,
The XD-9 SC went for about $525 @ Academy around 18 months ago.
I just shelled out about $620 for the XDm-40.
Like I said earlier. S.A. is rumored to raise the price on this line of hand guns to get them in the ball park of SIG SAUERs' and HKs'...if so expect to pay approx $800.
As it stands at the moment, you can't find a better value on a hand gun than the XD line.
              Yan,
The XDm's have the shortest trigger brake and take up of any handgun on the market. It also has what S.A. calls a "Match Grade Barrel".
              Sa-weeeet.

Don't stray to fast just yet.
Glock's are very fine weapons espescialy in the contex of of there targeted design wich is a tactical, no comprimise and non forgiving weapon. But the Glock has new competion. There is no safty on either gun but what I realy like on the S.A. is the back strap 1911 type safety along with the Glock style safety trigger.
This gun will not fire unless it's meant to be fired.
They are neck and neck on the gun forums.
