  • packaged natural baits

I was at academy yesterday looking at various lures and saw some that looked very very real. I picked up the package and after giving it a lil squeeze, i saw it read "please don't squeeze me, I am real." They were great lakes shiners marinated in juices and dyed various colors. Has anyone seen or used these before? I usually try to catch some live bait when fishing as a backup or when I just want to relax and watch my line/cork. I was thinking about trying these as a backup backup for when I can't catch any bait or like saturday when pulling my bucket behind my canoe it opened and I lost all of my bait

I'd stay away. They aren't very durable or cheap. Probably better off using gulps.

Live bait on a kayak is a big PITA.

Thanks - I figured as much - bait gets ripped apart enough as is - probably doesnt help to sit in juices for months at a time post mortem.
