Very nice! I was suppose to go up in a couple of weeks but had to cancel due to a foot problem. Maybe next year!

Yea definitely worth every penny. That first pic is the view from my cousins balcony. This is 175 miles south of anchorage on the Kenai near Clam Gulch. Fish were caught on the Kenai river. Silvers avg 12lbs this year. And they are brutes in the current. I did snap a pole this year!! LOL

C we used a 7' med action pole penn spinner w/50 braid with fluorocarbon shock leader. Lure of choice was Vibrex 7/16oz.

I guess the really fat fish like the one you are holding are females full of eggs ? Do you eat the roe like cavier or deep fry ? Taste any good ?

My grandfather would deep fry trout roe with corn meal . I might have to try that myself .

I looked up silver salmon . They are COHO salmon and " excellent " table fare moderate to high fat content , sockeye and chinook only having a higher fat content which is best for smoking . Silvers were a major food source for native people's and traded to the inland inhabitants . I didn't see anything about roe in the one article I read .
