Finally made it to Lake Houston for the first time. My son-in-law and I launched at the Lake Houston Marina at first light and headed north. Fished a couple of the coves and inlets on the east side, picking up a couple of bass here and there on spinnerbaits. Finally found the mother load near the mouth of Luce Bayou. We found a deep hole and the bass were stacked up in there. A couple came on crank baits but the rest were on Watermelon 7" Zoom trick worms fished on a dropshot 12" above the sinker. We lost count but boated over 20 easily, too bad the biggest was only about 13.5". It was still a great day on the water and we caught fish.
