  • Clear Creek Tournament

Sorry for the late post, but the Bayou Bassin League's Clear Creek tournament was the best by far. There were a lot of good fish caught and everyone had a blast.

    The winners were:

    1st - Randy Gehret & Darrin Nelson - Winning Weight 8.37 lbs
    2nd - Jason Knight & Brad Hagans - Winning Weight 7.98 lbs
    3rd - Robbie Laskoske & Travis Sisnorin - Winning Weight 7.60 lbs

And Big Bass was Steven Gremillion - Winning Weight 3.76 lbs

Here is my son with our only 2 keepers. We caught over 20 bass and it wasn't that we weren't getting the bigger bass to bite, we just couldn't get the bigger bass in the boat. I even lost what would have likely been the winning redfish in the side pot. Just one of those days and that is why they call it fishing..... We ended up 7th and just can't wait till the next tournament on Hall's where we will kick some butt!!!!!

Most days on the local bayous are 20+ bass days, just not a lot of size to most of them. 3-5 pounders are monsters.....LOL

A trophy for the waterway....not all places have fish that get huge. The way you grind on them youll suprise yourself one day when you pull out a 6lb halls monster bass.

They are there for sure! I lost one in the last tournament at Halls that would have gone close to 5lb.

Loosing fish at the boat , especially during a tournament , will make you scream . Nice effort . Good day all in all .

You got that right, well there may have been the use of some colorful words mixed in with the screaming.....lol

It really is too bad that clear creek is so polluted because the bass we caught and the ones we saw caught were some very healthy fish. Most are like footballs and really weigh-in good.
