  • New Mitchell Pro 300 Spinning Reel

Just started using the new Mitchell. Not what it was in the day, but for the price a good reel. Had 10 bearings, spins smoothly, and works great when you hook the fish. Goes for about $64.00. Don't get me wrong - this does not compare to a bait caster or a higher end spinner, but it is kinda nice. I use it off my dock and also on the bulk head for flounder.

My Dad loved the old Mitchell's. In the 60's & 70's, he and his cousins in Corpus used to tear up the trout with those and 52M's. He had bait casters but really preferred the Mitchell.
