Fishing remains solid in West Galveston Bay. yesterday I caught a fairly easy limit pretty quick working a blue/chrome She Dog and plum assassins around a shell pad in West Bay. Trout where all in the 20 to 22" range.
Today I met up with Chad at the 2004 Bridge at 5am. We headed off into West Bay right where I left off Sunday and started picking up Trout right away. I think we scratched out 14 fish within the first hour with plenty more missed. tried a cove next and the south shoreline of the pass next where the bite was non existant for us working plastics and topwaters near surface bait. Moved over into Chocolate about mid day where we found more steady Trout action wading another shell pad. All in all we must have caught well over 30 Trout on a mix of assorted topwaters and plastics. Left them biting at 100 and headed in with 2 limits of Trout, 1 Red, and 1 Flounder.
