Shocking evening

I've neglected the Express since working on the Shoalwater.Anyway went out to run the 40 yamaho.Water was coming out the exaust but not the pee hole.So i reched over to pull the tube loose and got bit by the plug wire.It shouldn't do that unless I got a bad wire right?

Unless you grounded the solonoid with yourself?????
