That's awesome, we've caught blue cats in CC(catch and release of course), never tried for bass. How far down stream do the bass go?

Good write-up Derek. Too bad you didn't land your bites. That's one HUGE fish.

You can catch bass almost to 270 bridge at times but normally from Walter Hall Park north/west is good bass fishing.

We put in Walter hall yesterday afternoon, it seems as though we can only catch blue/channel cats on artificial lol.

The conditions are still pretty tough right now. A lot of times you have to get off the main channel and into some of the back creeks and canals. There ares some spots along the main channel that are good but you have to find structure that is holding the bass or bait that they are feeding on. Yes the cats get really active when the water is up and flowing like it has been the last few days. It might take a couple of weeks to settle down to normal.....if we don't get more rain.
