  • 8/7: Afternoon Trip

I've been so busy at work, I'm not fishing enough. I've had a chance to get out late in the afternoon on Fridays a couple of times this summer and tried it again yesterday.

SW wind was pumping, tide was going out and super low. Water clarity in Jones Bay was between root beer and yoo hoo.

Undaunted, we persevered. I took my oldest boy and his buddy. Live shrimp over mixed mud and shell did the trick again. We got a mixed box of trout, reds and the species that will not be named. My son's friend had never caught a red. He got a good one and was really surprised when it started peeling drag. A good afternoon/evening for sure. We were on the water around 6 and off around 8:45p.

    Peace to all,
    JYC
