That latest run I have ever experienced. But they are biting

Any tips for a newbie to plastics? My first catch on a plastic lure was on a pearl psycho chicken and I've been hooked since, but no luck. I've been reeling in slowly and twitching the rod every couple turns.

You're going to get more bites with a scented plastic. If your not using his scent attractant try tipping
the hook with some type bait.
I also throw a tandem rig with 2 different colors. Sometimes they prefer one over the other.
My favorites colors are pink and a chartreuse.
Also you often don't feel the bite....it just stops. Set the hook and set it HARD.
I also use a sideways hook set instead of a vertical for flounder.

You mean the hook comes out through the side? Or does the rod pull sideways instead of up when you set the hook?
