  • Galveston bay 3-14-10

Took two father and son teams out for a little bay fishing. Day started nice with no wind and blue skys. Started fishing a drop off going from 2-8 ft. Fish where hanging in about 4 ft and wanted Red Shad Big Nasty. Was able to hang around for about an hour and picked up 3 Trout, all right at 21''. Bite was very soft so missed lots of bites.

Moved around trying to find some fish with no wind just seemed their was boats all over with spring break. Ran across the bay and drifted a shell island in 2-4 ft of water and was able to pick up some nice Redfish. Redfish wanted Glow w/ Chartreuse tail big Nasty. Reds were really feeding, just absolutely crushing the Nasty's.

Overall we ened up with 5 Reds and 3 Trout. Trout up to 21'' and Reds up to 27''. Was very impressed with my crew even though I bought live shrimp we ened up catching all fish on Lures. Never got on bite on shrimp.

Over all nice day on the water with little to no wind.
