  • Light rain does not scare me.

I am going out this coming Saturday 4/24/10. There is supposed to be rain with a small tiny front coming thru. I am reading all the fishing reports...and it is starting to look better. I must take advantage of the warmer water temp's. Getting myself out there to the jetty's. Maybe a few offshore rig's. That of course is depending on the wave heights. That I will be keeping..a close eye on. It's gonna be a slammer-

Ya, you really should keep a weather eye out for the front, especially this time of year. Those "tiny ones" have a way of growing up when you least expect it; i.e., Lake Livingston about 15 years ago, and many others. I'm sure you know how fast it can turn ugly. Hope you have a great trip & let us know how you do.

        Rain, no prob

Your right about the rain. It's the lightning that is a bummer. Just remember that the lightning is looking for the shortest ground and you are the highest point on the water. And those graphite rods and boat antennas conduct very well!

I am not sure about the forecast..either is the weather service. If I do not go out on Saturday..then it is on Sunday. Wind's out of the west..flat seas..Ohhh yeah! That is what I'm talking about. Heck...I might go out both day's.

Keeping a eye on the weather. Look's right now..like Sunday would be more likely to be the better choice. Have to wait and see though thing's can change. Saturday is not canceled yet.Shoot..I might just have to fish both day's.
