  • 5/28 report

Wind was light out of the west, water was green all the way to the beach and flat!

Saw a lot of waders out there, but they were too far out. Not sure if they hooked up, but Donna and I were 40-50 feet off the beach, where all the bait was. Caught first one on SS JR all black, 17". Then Donna started catching them on her famous 1/4oz jig with gulp shrimp.

Ended up catching 5-6 trout, kept 3. Lost a monter! sucker hooked a mullet and then called it a day. Not bad for hour and half.

Should stay like this for the next few days, but might not go out with all the holiday traffic.

Nope, I switched to a tail once Donna starting catching them on the gulp. We went this after noon as well and Donna caught a fat 18". Too many people in the water already.
