  • Galveston Bay 5/30

Today was awesome!!! We fished mid bay reefs in 5 to 6 ft of water and caught fish on every drift until we left to go eat lunch abut 1:30 ish. We used Big Nastys all day on a 1/4 oz jig. Red shad in the morning and glitter limetreuse after that. We hit 1 spot today and never moved. The armada of boats never moved in on us which is probably why we did so well. It is hard to guesstimate how many today because it was non stop action for 6 straight hours but we had at least 8 or 9 doubles and 1 or 2 triple hookups. I had some great guys and decent fishermen in from Dallas and they kept me busy with the net all day. we had our 2 man limit by 9:30 ish and just played catch and release and we culled a few also the rest of the day. It was an incredibly fun day on the water! Water clarity was excellent and the wind was 6-10 out of the WSW most of the day. Our biggest fish was 4 1/2 pounds but we had over 10 between 4 to 4 1/2 pounds. Just couldnt break that 5 pound barrier to day!
