  • Galveston Bay 6/1

Well it started out great this morning. We found em on our second spot and we were catching a few solid fish on each drift until the armada moved in on us and one boat just totally ruined it for us. After the non-courteous boater came thru it was over. We did 1 more drift with no bites so we left. Hit several other spots but it just seemed like they shut down about 10 ish. We hit several open bay reefs and picked up a bunch of 14 inchers but just couldnt put any more keepers in the boat. We ended up with 13 very nice fish up to 4 1/2 pounds on big nasty's in red shad color again using 1/4 oz jigheads. It was a beautiful day today. Wind was Westerly early and then turned SSE about 11. But they still werent aggresive so we called it a day about 1 pm.
