Took the wife fishing in Bastrop Bay Monday for several hours and only managed one red @ 24" and one flounder @ 22". Red fell to my wife soaking a big mullet on the edge of a reef and I got the flounder on a small, white, Gulp swim shad. They were flipping out of the water EVERYWHERE but couldn't get but that one to hit. Tried many different lures, as well as live bait. I'll try again this weekend hoping to win some money at the ABC fishing tournament this weekend out of KC's on the Creek in Freeport.
