Like John said. Went to the south jetty on fri morning, caught a limit, and then some. Same thing on Saturday morning. Top waters early, then tails and spoons. The water looked great, and the wind was minimal. Tried our luck again on Memorial Day morning, but the water was really dirty and the waves were splashing over the jetty. So we hopped around to pelican island, and grinded out another limit by 10:30. Water at pelican was clear to sandy, and the dolphins were pushing the trout and bait closer to shore, right where the big cove with the grass shoreline starts. Good colors at Pelican were small bone and chartreuse... (check spelling) paddle tails, and believe it or not, day glow corkys. Best weekend I have had in a long time.
